Decisions Management

Decisions Management

Info
This feature introduces a comprehensive framework to create, track, monitor, and analyze decisions directly within Abraxio.

Decisions now become a fully-fledged business object that can be linked to projects, activities, fiscal years, budget lines, suppliers, and contracts, enabling stronger governance and more structured decision-making.

1. Decision creation and details

Decisions are displayed in a side panel, using an interface consistent with tasks and notes.

Creation

A decision can be created from:

  • The + button in the top-right corner of a detailed object (project, activity, supplier, contract, fiscal year)

  • The contextual menu → Create a decision

  • The Create a decision button from the Decision tracking or Decision review screens

Side panel behavior

  1. The decision side panel remains open while navigating within the same module.
  1. It automatically closes when switching to another module.
QuoteExample of usage:
  • A decision is opened from a project

  • Navigation to the project review or capacity planning: the decision remains open

  • Navigation to the Finance module: the decision closes

Available fields in a decision

A decision includes the following elements:

  • Title

  • Reference (automatically generated if configured in Admin > Configuration > Transverse)

  • Manager (the creator is set by default and can be changed later)

  • Associations:

    • One association per object type: project, activity, fiscal year, budget line, supplier, contract

InfoWhen a decision is linked to a budget line, the associated project or activity is automatically added.

  • Instance:

    • Instances are configured in Admin > Configuration > Transverse

    • By default, two instances are created in all environments: Exec Com and Steering Com

  • Analytical dimensions:

    • Up to three analytical dimensions can be enabled

    • These dimensions count toward the analytical dimension quota for customers with limited allocations

  • Details:

    • Free-text field to describe the decision

  • Attachments:

    • Files can be added using the same tab as for tasks

History

Accessible from the decision’s contextual menu:

  • Each status change is logged (excluding files)

  • The full history is available in read-only mode

2. Reporting and tracking

Decisions are exposed through dedicated screens, available both at a global (module) level and at an object level.

2.1 Module-level tracking

New Decision Review screens are available in:

  • The Portfolios module

  • The Suppliers module

  • Budget fiscal years

Info
These screens provide both Kanban and Table views, aggregating all decisions based on their associations.

2.2 Object-level tracking

A Decision Tracking screen (Kanban/Table view) has been added for:

  • Projects and activities

  • Suppliers

This screen allows users to:

  • Open a decision

  • Access the object’s decision tracking

  • Quickly create a decision

  • Directly access decisions that require action

2.3 Budget line-level tracking

Within each budget line, a new Decisions tab allows users to:

  • View all associated decisions

  • Create new decisions
