Role management will allow you to easily manage and define your users' authorizations by creating predefined roles, including all the authorizations of a typical profile.
1 - Creating a role
There are two ways to create a role:
- From scratch: you define all the role's permissions
- From a user: The role's permissions are initialized from those of the selected user.
1.1 - Creating a role from scratch
Role creation
1- Click on the “ Create” button and fill in the mandatory information:
2- Role name : label you wish to give to the role (examples: PMO, PO alternating, Junior Project Manager, Senior Developer)
3- Minimum subscription required: the selected Abraxio subscription will predefine the modules / Scope / Options available depending on the chosen subscription ( Manager, Project Manager, Direction and Collaborator)
The minimum subscription required on a role is no longer modifiable once at least one user is assigned to it.
Once this information is entered, the role configuration block appears:
You will then be able to define the standard authorizations for the role.
Defining role permissions
- Module access: Allows you to choose, via check boxes, the modules to which the role will have access
- Scope of action: Table composed of three columns: Consultation, Modification and Creation/Deletion . It allows you to define the scope of action on which the role can act.
- Special rights:
- Export Excel: Enables the Export Excel functionality
- Excel Import: Allows the import of data into Abraxio (Suppliers, invoices, deadlines, budget, etc.) depending on the modules to which the role has access.
- Manage budgets: Allows the creation of budgets, orders and simulations as well as access to all budgets.
- Show salaries: Allows viewing of salaries charged and the daily rate
- Administrator: Grants access to the Admin module (Settings, API integration, user management, license allocations, etc.)
- Buyer: Management and payment of Abraxio subscriptions
Note: The options offered at the authorization level depend on the minimum required subscription chosen. Thus, certain accesses will be grayed out by default because they are not accessible or cannot be configured.
Finalizing role creation
After defining the permissions, finalize the role creation by clicking Save at the bottom of the page.
1.2 - Creating a role from an existing user
In order not to start from a blank setting, you can, by clicking on the chevron next to the "Create" button, Create a role from a user.
Once the user is selected, the role you are creating will be initialized from the selected user's permissions.
You can then modify it, if necessary, in the same way as seen previously.
2 - Assign a role to a user
Once your roles are created, you can assign them to your users:
- Either individually: you assign user roles per user via the Admin > Users module on the user's file
- Either in bulk via bulk operations on users => more information in the article Bulk operations on users
- Either via a mass import of data : on users without a subscription, you can update the field from an import file => more information in the article Mass imports
2.1 Assign a role individually
From the Admin > Users module, access the user's file then click on "From a role" in the " Authorizations " category:
A drop-down menu appears with the various created roles offered depending on the user's subscription.
Click on the eye icon on the right to preview the different rights granted by the role.
2.2 Assigning user roles via bulk operation
Access to the bulk operation tool is from: Admin > Users > "Users" tab.
2.3 Assigning user roles via an import file
Once your roles are created, click on the context menu to perform a mass import.
You can download the user import template. It contains all your settings and a new " Roles " column with a drop-down menu offering all the roles you have created.
Let yourself be guided through the different steps of the import until its finalization. Your users are then imported or edited, with their roles for each.
3 - Edit / Modify a role
Editing a role is done from the Admin module > Users > "Roles" tab
In the left column are your different roles, sorted by the subscriptions to which they are linked:
Select the role you want to modify. Its various authorizations will appear in the center of your screen.
Once you have made changes to the role, click Save.
Good to know: Click on the pictogram

in front of your role in order to duplicate it. This allows you to create a new role from an already existing template!
4 - Delete a role
Deleting a role is done from: Admin > Users > "Roles" tab.
Click on the role you want to delete from the left column, then click Delete at the bottom of the page.
